The police have made the accused of Baidya's murder public after a month-long investigation.
According to the police, it has been revealed that 45-year-old Rambalak Chaudhary of Kshireshwornath Municipality-3 in Dhanusha murdered Avina. Avina's body was found in a state of disrepair on November 2 in a ditch near a canal near a school tole in Karjanha-2. During the investigation, it was found that Rambalak, while drunk, called Avina to meet him at 8 pm on November 21, after which they had consensual physical contact and then he strangled Avina to death, making her unconscious and crushed her with a stone. According to the police, they were already in a relationship and used to talk and meet. Rambalak had also proposed marriage to Avina, but Avina had also talked to others, and Rambalak, suspecting that they were in a relationship, killed her out of impulse, the police have told.
Further investigation is underway against the accused Rambalak Chaudhary after receiving a summons from the Siraha District Court, said DSP Ramesh Bahadur Pal, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Siraha. The Central Investigation Bureau, Madhesh Province Police Office, District Police Office and Area Police Office, Mirchaiya jointly investigated the incident.
