The Road Division Office has stated that it is constructing sky bridges at three risky locations on the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section at a cost of approximately Rs 105 million.

Sky bridges are being constructed at three locations on the Janakpur-Dhalkebar six-lane road section, the main road that enters Janakpurdham, the capital of Madhesh Province.
The Road Division Office has stated that the project has been taken forward to control the excessive pressure of pedestrians, vehicle movement, traffic management problems and accidents.
According to the office, all three bridges are being constructed at a cost of about Rs 105 million by selecting the busiest and most risky places on the road section. Ujjwal Jha of the office said that bridges are being constructed at Laxminiya Bazaar, the main market area of Laxminiya Rural Municipality, Mahila Bikash Chowk in Mahendranagar Bazaar of Kshireshwornath Municipality, and Sakhuwa Chowk.
He said, 'We have been constructing the necessary infrastructure, including pillar construction, at all three places for a month. Work is being done to complete the construction within the stipulated time frame.'
According to Engineer Jha, out of the three bridges, Laxminiya Bazaar is being constructed at a cost of Rs 34.2 million, Mahila Bikash Chowk in Mahendranagar Bazaar at a cost of Rs 33.5 million, and Sakhuwa Chowk at a cost of Rs 34.5 million. All the bridges will be 5.6 meters high, 29.4 meters long and three meters wide.
Chief Police Inspector of the District Traffic Police Office, Surya Bahadur Shahi, said that traffic management on the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section will be somewhat easier after the construction of the sky bridge. According to him, the risk of accidents has increased as thousands of pedestrians and vehicles travel here daily.
Suresh Yadav, President of the Kshireshwornath Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the construction of the bridge will help in reducing accidents as there will be a lot of religious tourists and locals going to Janakpurdham. Local Rohit Raj Khanal said that the construction of the sky bridge will help in traffic management and urban beautification on the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section, which will be very busy after the construction of the sky bridge.
The Road Division Office has set a target to complete the construction of the bridge within the current fiscal year.
