"We have launched an investigation into those involved in the incident," he said. "First of all, we are looking for the absconding person." The truth will be revealed after they are arrested.'

On Kartik 18, the day Khatun's husband Adil left for Saudi Arabia for foreign employment, Khatun was caught by her neighbors while she was staying with her nephew Shesh Gudu at her maternal home in Paltuwa, Gujra Municipality-7, and handed over to the Chandranigahapur Area Police. After that, her father-in-law Shesh Ali Mohammad brought both of them home from the police office after 20 days, and the murder took place.

Tarima Khatun's one-and-a-half-year-old son Mohammad Arif is also not at home.
