Police have arrested three Indians involved in drug trafficking.
The arrested are Raja Kumar, 23, of Bidupur village, Baishali district, Bihar, India; Vishal Kumar, 23, of Raja Michael panchayat, Baishali district; and Pintu Kumar, 23, of Sonpur, Chhapra district.
Based on a special tip-off, a police team deployed from Police Post Manwa under the District Police Office stopped and searched the suspects, who were walking suspiciously from Nepal to India, at the Baderwa petrol pump road section of Parsagarhi Municipality-9 around 12 midnight on Wednesday. During the search, 3 kg 190 grams, 3 kg 250 grams, and 3 kg 300 grams of marijuana were found in their bags, respectively.
They are being investigated for drug-related offenses after obtaining an 8-day extension of their remand from the Parsa District Court, according to DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of Parsa Police.
