The former ward chairman of Gaur Municipality in Rautahat died of electrocution on Wednesday. The District Police Office, Gaur, has informed that former ward chairman of Gaur Municipality-5, Ramswartharay Yadav, died of electrocution.

According to the police, Yadav was seriously injured after being electrocuted while driving his motorbike to fill water at his goat farm in Gaur.

He was rushed to the provincial hospital in Gaur for treatment but died on the way, the police said.

Yadav was a district committee member of UML. His body has been kept at the provincial hospital in Gaur for post-mortem, the police said. Further investigation into the incident is underway, the police said.
