Police have arrested a 70-year-old Indian national from Birgunj on charges of being involved in illegal marijuana trafficking.
On Wednesday night at 10:30 pm, a team deployed from the proposed Border Security Force, Birgunj, behind the Birgunj Customs Office in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, arrested 70-year-old Brahma Sahni from Patna, India, who was walking towards Raxaul on foot, while conducting a check. Police found six kilos of marijuana hidden in plastic and tape from him.
He was taken into custody and handed over to the Ward Police Office, Birta for necessary action, said DSP Suraj Karki, Spokesperson of the Armed Police, Parsa.
