The flow of water in the Saptakosi river has increased due to the continuous rains in the eastern hills and Terai districts.

Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra informed that according to the measurement made at 11:00 this morning, the flow of water through the Kosi barrage was 5 lakh 10 thousand 960 cusec per second.

He said that all 56 gates of Kosi Barrage were opened after the water flow was high. As the water flow is high, red lights are also hoisted as a sign of danger. Similarly, the operation of vehicles around the Kosi Barrage has also been banned.

Meanwhile, the Nepalese team led by Chief District Officer Mishra along with the security personnel and the team of Bihar Government Water Resources Department of India have inspected the Kosi Barrage.
