The Armed Police Force has arrested one person from Siraha's Bhagwanpur Rural Municipality with an undisclosed amount of Rs 750,000. The armed police team deployed on the basis of a special information has killed 45-year-old Omprakash Sah of Bhagwanpur Rural Municipality-4 Jamuwatol.
According to Naresh Bhandari, Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force, Sah was checked on suspicion when he was walking from Laukaha towards Bhagwanpur Chowk. During that time, the cash amount was found with him. He said that Shah was arrested after he could not produce any valid evidence when questioned about the source of the money.
The armed police suspect that this amount may have come through illegal hundi transactions. Superintendent of Police Bhandari mentioned that the Armed Police Force has increased vigilance and activity to prevent such illegal financial transactions in the border areas. He informed that the arrested Sah along with the recovered money has been handed over to the District Police Office Siraha for further investigation and legal action.
