63 million rupees worth of damage in Sarlahi during the demonstration

Assistant Chief District Officer Shivhari Pokharel informed that six municipalities of Sarlahi, which has a maximum of 20 local levels, were completely damaged, two municipalities were partially damaged and three municipalities were moderately damaged.

63 million rupees worth of damage in Sarlahi during the demonstration

It is estimated that more than 630 million rupees were lost in Sarlahi due to fire and vandalism during the Gen-G movement. The agitators have caused the most damage at the local level.

According to the District Administration Office, Sarlahi, during the protest on August 23 and 24,  Due to fire and vandalism, total loss of 472 million, partial loss of 143 million and damage to public property worth 25 million have been caused.

Assistant Chief District Officer Shivhari Pokharel informed that 6 municipalities of Sarlahi, which has a maximum of 20 local levels, have suffered complete damage, partial damage in two municipalities and moderate damage in three municipalities. According to him, the damage worth Rs.12 crores in Ishwarpur municipality, Rs.17 crores in Lalbandi municipality, Rs.10 crores in Barhathwa municipality, Rs.207 crores in Haripur municipality, Rs.204 crores in Haripurwa municipality and Rs.3 crores and 1 lakhs in Chandranagar rural municipality. These municipalities have been completely damaged. 

Similarly, in Hariwan Municipality, 100.4 million and 375 million in Bagmati Municipality have been damaged. There has been partial damage in these two municipalities. It is estimated that Brahmpuri rural municipality suffered moderate damage, Rs 6 lakh in Malangwa municipality and Rs 12 lakh in Parsa rural municipality. Agricultural Knowledge Center Malangwa, which suffered moderate damage to the provincial office, 1.5 million, the Prime Minister's Agriculture Modernization Implementation Unit, which suffered partial damage to the federal office, 4.8 million, and the post office, Lalbandi, suffered a loss equal to 3 million. 

During the protest, a loss of Rs. According to the district administration office, the work of collecting the details of the damage to private property during the protest is still going on. Chief District Officer Tulsi Bahadur Shrestha said that those involved in vandalism and arson of public property are being identified and informed that action will be taken.
