Vijendra Kumar Sahni, a 38-year-old teacher working at Janata Secondary School in Lahan-19, Sonmati Gada, died when he was electrocuted while driving a motor to irrigate the paddy planted in the field near his house on Saturday morning.
A teacher died after being electrocuted by an electric motor used for irrigation in Gadhagaon of Lahan Municipality-23 here.

After the incident, his relatives and locals immediately rescued him and took him to Ramkumar Sharda Umaprasad Murar Regional Hospital in Lahan, where he was declared dead by the doctor, according to Police Inspector Dharmesh Kumar Yadav of the District Police Office.
