A fire broke out in the neonatal intensive care unit of Narayani Hospital in Birganj on Tuesday.

A fire broke out in the store on the third floor of the hospital around 4 am. Hospital Information Officer Dr. According to Udayanarayan Singh, all the contents of the store were destroyed due to the fire.

The Varuna Yantra of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality took control of the fire. In the fire, two monitors, one LED, pipes used in the oxygen plant, masks, NICU equipment, etc. kept in the store got burnt and the damage was worth about 1 million.

There was no human loss from the fire.

Children admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit are being safely transferred to other departments and treated.
