During more than two weeks of cholera infection, the infection has remained stable in Birgunj, while it is slowly increasing in Pokharia.

In the past 24 hours, 2 cholera patients have been added to Pokhria Hospital, the destination for the treatment of patients from rural areas of the district. The number of cholera infected people who came for treatment at Pokhria Hospital alone has now reached 16.

In Birgunj, cholera infected have not been added since 24 hours. According to the data released by the District Health Office on Sunday morning, the number of infected people in Birganj is still 192 as on Saturday.

Now the total number of cholera infected in Pokhria and Birgunj has reached 208. Among them, 10 infected people are currently being treated. 198 have been discharged and have gone home. According to statistics, 1,116 patients of diarrhea and cholera have been admitted to hospitals and health institutions for treatment in Birganj and Pokhria so far, 1,37 of them have returned home after treatment. Of the remaining 79 patients, 5 are admitted in ICU, 1 in HDU and 73 in general ward. 39 new cases of diarrhea and cholera have been added in 24 hours.
