Police have arrested a teacher on the charge of abusing a girl student studying at Nirmal Lama Multi-Technical School in Bardibas.
According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, a teacher working in the school, Vasant Prasad Yadav, was detained and prosecuted for indecency based on the complaint that the girl student had been molested.
Based on the complaint filed by the school and the parents at the local police office Bardibas, the police said that the teacher Yadav was detained and the investigation was extended on Tuesday in the indecent case. According to the students studying in the school, the teacher Yadav had a forced physical relationship with the girl student. The students say that they misbehaved with the girl students saying that they would pass the exam. Even though it was a heinous incident, the parents and the school did not allow the incident to be made public and prosecuted the abuse case.
Bardibas Municipality-11 Khairmara, after the audio recordings of a teacher calling and threatening students during the night, the school referred the teacher to the police for action. Earlier, three female students studying here tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in a group on 15th January 2081. Among the three people who consumed poison, Rinku Sharma, a 17-year-old student of Siraha Dhangadhi Municipality-10, died. The death of the student was covered up without much investigation.
