An old woman drowned in a pond in Agnisair Krishnaswaran Rural Municipality here on Monday while picking gonghi.

A 72-year-old resident of Rural Municipality-2 Sitapur drowned in Sadako Pond, police said. Madhav Prasad Kafle, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kanchanpur District Police Office, informed that Ranjan Chaudhary drowned while picking blankets in his private pond, which is about two kilometers north of his house.
