Two people died in separate motorcycle accidents in Chakraghatta Rural Municipality and Ishwarpur Municipality of Sarlahi. The condition of one person is serious.
A 60-year-old Baran Baitha of Padaria, a pedestrian, died when he was hit by a motorcycle number BR 30 AG 5036 in Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-5, Padaria last night. Another pedestrian, 20-year-old Deepak Mandal of the same place, was injured in the collision with the motorcycle.
Mandal is being treated at Malangwa Provincial Hospital, police said. 20-year-old Harekrishna Yadav of Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-1, who sustained minor injuries in the accident, has been taken into custody after treatment. Similarly, in Ishwarpur Municipality-1, Chaulikha, when an Indian motorcycle numbered HP 55 AC 6105 went out of control and fell into the drain, the driver, Amandeep Ram, 24 years old from Ishwarpur Municipality-7, Pokhari Tol, died.
Ram, who was seriously injured in the accident, died in the evening at LS Neuro Hospital Bara during the treatment, according to the district police office.
