One person died today due to a bus collision in Agnisair Krishnaswaran Rural Municipality-2 Chandni Chowk of Saptari.
Local Sitapur 68-year-old Budur Chowdhury died on the spot due to the collision of the bus, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Kafle of Kanchanpur Area Police Office.
Bus No. 1-01-001 B 4560 going from west to east hit Chaudhary from behind who was riding a bicycle at Chandni Chowk under east-west highway. Chaudhary was going towards his paddy field. District Police Office said that the bus and the driver of the collision are under the control of Kanchanpur Area Police Office .
After the incident, angry locals and relatives of the deceased have blocked the road at Chandi Chowk on the East-West Highway since morning. Due to the obstruction, hundreds of vehicles are stuck on the road and thousands of passengers are stranded on the road.
