One person was electrocuted while trying to water the field with a motor on Friday in Rupani rural municipality-3 Kataiya of Saptari. At around 5 am, 42-year-old Shambhu Isar reached the farm.

Village Chairman Dinesh Kumar Yadav said that he was suddenly electrocuted while driving his motorcycle and died on the spot. The deceased was operating a Kutani-Pisani and oil mill in Isar village.

Even though there has been sporadic rain in Saptari since last week, the locals are pulling the water from the motor and watering the fields and planting. But there are cases of premature death due to general carelessness.

58-year-old Mohammad Yunus Mia of Khadak Municipality-11 of Saptari, who was working on a farm, died of electrocution on Saturday.
