Police opened fire in a clash between smugglers and armed police near Duhbi Dhalachowk in Dhanusha. On Wednesday night around 8:00 pm, a clash took place when the police team deployed from the proposed border security Gulm, Mainathpur, was taking control of the smuggled goods near the Mango Garden in Videh Municipality-2 Duhabi Dhala Chowk.

District Police Office Dhanusha informed that the armed police fired 4 rounds in the air to take control of the situation after 50/60 people pelted stones on the police team. Narahari Regmi, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dhanusha, said that the police had to open fire when trying to control smuggling. He said that two weeks ago there was a dispute between the police and smugglers at the place where the clash took place.
