Indiscriminate firing in Janakpur, one killed, two seriously injured

One person died and two others were seriously injured when a man who was imprisoned for 5 years for killing his wife went on a rampage on Monday night.

35-year-old Rambabu Sah of Dhanusha Kshireswarnath Municipality-9, Ichchapur, who was camping in the Ekatle house of late Suryanand Chaudhary in Janakpur-4, killed 15-year-old Anjali Kumari Yadav with a sharp machete at around 11:30 on Monday night. According to District Police Office Dhanusa, Anjali's throat has been cut.

Sah also hit 35-year-old Asha Yadav, the wife of Dinesh Yadav of Kshireshwarnath-4 , who was camping in the same house. His head and different parts of his body are injured. The murdered Anjali is Asha's daughter.

Similarly, Sah also assaulted Radha Yadav, the 14-year-old daughter of Bhogindra Yadav of Dhanusha Mithila Municipality-1 Dhalkevar, who lives in the same room.  Radha's right knee and right hand have been amputated by Khukuri.

The injured are being treated at the Janakpur Regional Hospital, the police said. Shah is absconding after the

incident. Shah has already served 5 years in prison for the murder of his wife. Dhanusha police said that the incident is being investigated.
