Police have arrested Dr. Pravin Mishra accused of rape and abortion cases from Bardibas. Shailendra Kumar Bhatta, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Mahottari, said that Dr. Mishra was arrested by the Bardibas area police office.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhatt said that 41-year-old Dr. Mishra, who works at D&N B Medicare Center in Bardibas, was arrested on Thursday according to the arrest warrant received from Jaleshwar court on July 5th in the rape and abortion case. According to the police, Dr. Mishra will be further investigated by extending the deadline from the court.
Dr. Mishra was unconscious due to excessive bleeding while performing an abortion on a 16-year-old girl . The parents of the girl who had a 10-week abortion filed a rape complaint at the Bardibas area police office.
The police said that the accused was arrested after receiving a complaint. During the investigation, the police claimed that it was discovered that the doctor had performed an abortion on a young girl without completing the procedure to hide the incident.
