3 farmers died in a week in Rautahat due to electrocution while watering the fields

Three farmers have died in Rautahat within a week due to electrocution while applying water to plant paddy. Only on Wednesday, two people were electrocuted while driving a motorcycle while watering to plant paddy.

On Wednesday morning Madhav Narayan-4 Bisanpurwa Manpur, Tulsi Mukhiya's son, 40-year-old Rambabu Mukhiya, died due to electrocution while using an electric motor to irrigate the farm, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajan Karki of the area police office, Garuda. The police said that the chief who was electrocuted by the motor wire installed for irrigation died in the provincial hospital Gaur during treatment. 

Similarly, Moktar Dewan, the 52-year-old son of Lal Muhammad Dewan of Katharia-2 Jamunia toll, also died due to electrocution while watering the field, he informed. The police said that Dewan, who was injured due to electrocution, died at Grandi Hospital in Garuda during treatment.

Earlier on June 31 last year, Golu, the 14-year-old son of Sudhan Raut of Moulapur-8 Sonarnia, was killed by Narendra Patel. He also died due to electrocution while watering the field. This year, due to the drought in the Terai, the farmers were forced to draw water from the motor to plant.
