The budget of Madhesh state government for the next financial year has been passed. On Monday, the budget was unanimously passed in the absence of opposition party MPs.
The Madhesh state government has passed the Fast Track Allocation Act 2082. Finance Minister Sunil Kumar Yadav presented the budget of 46 billion 98 crore 33 lakh 51 thousand in the state assembly on June 1. The budget was passed without completing the necessary discussion and process. Some articles were discarded due to lack of time . This Act will come into force from 1st July .
Parliamentarians of 6 parties including the main opposition Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal boycotted the government saying it had bypassed the parliament and introduced the budget. From the beginning, the opposition had been accusing the government of bringing the budget under the influence of middlemen. Although the task force was formed twice to correct the budget error, the task force was dissolved this morning due to disagreements.
There is a difference between the red book presented by the government in the state assembly, the red book distributed to the parliamentarians and the red book locked in the information system. The government presented the 461-page red book in parliament and distributed it to MPs. However, there is a 755-page redbook on information systems.
It is alleged by the opposition that the government has introduced eight thousand schemes worth around three billion by cheating the parliament.
