A child has died after drowning in a pond in Sarlahi's Kabilasi.

Suraj Paswan, the 2-year-old son of Devarayan Paswan of Kabilasi Municipality-5, Ghardauli, drowned in a nearby pond and died. 

After the child did not return home until late Sunday night, the family members informed the police. 

When the police team, locals and relatives were searching together, the child's body was found drowned in the pond of Vindeshwar Rai near the house at around 9 o'clock in the night, according to the district police office.
