The discussion on the upcoming budget of Madhesh government has not started yet. The state assembly meeting was postponed for the fifth day on Thursday due to the opposition party's disruption.

After the opposition party disagreed on the formation of the working group in Thursday's meeting, Speaker Ramchandra Mandal adjourned the meeting for ten minutes, and the meeting was postponed until next Saturday at 1 o'clock.

The 6 parties of the opposition have been alleging that the budget of the fiscal year 2082/083 is dominated by middlemen. To investigate the same matter, the main opposition party Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal,  Maoists, CPN United Socialists, Nepal Federal Socialists, Civil Liberties and RPPA MPs have been opposing the budget.  At the beginning of the

, the state assembly meeting was interrupted after the government did not agree to form a working group. However, on Wednesday, the government agreed to form a working group. After that, a 6-member working group was formed under the leadership of Speaker Ramchandra Mandal. It was agreed to have three opposition members, two members of the ruling party and one speaker in the working group. However, from the ruling side, the opposition has disagreed after putting CPN UML parliamentary party leader and physical infrastructure minister Saroj Kumar Yadav in the working group. 

Kanish Patel, a member of the working group and chief whip of CPN United Socialist Party, commented that the minister was kept in the working group because the government's intention was bad. It became clear that the middleman has influence on the budget. The government has placed the minister in the task force to protect its wrongdoing,'' he said, 'How will it happen when the person who is to be investigated is placed in the task force?' He says that the government's role in the provincial assembly is not suitable for parliamentary practice. "The way the government has tried to form a working group is wrong," he said, "A working group with the participation of the government is not acceptable." Such a working group will not achieve any achievements.

Speaker Ramchandra Mandal said that an attempt will be made to reach an agreement again on Saturday. He said that he is in the role of a facilitator to conduct the state assembly smoothly and pass the budget. "We want the budget to be passed with everyone's agreement as long as possible, so that there is no dispute," said Speaker Mandal.

Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh is going to Kathmandu for the National Planning Commission meeting. He said that after coming on Saturday, they will hold another meeting and resolve the dispute. However, Chief Minister Singh alleged that the intentions of the opposition were not right. "It was agreed to keep three people from the opposition and two from the ruling party in the formation of the working group," said Chief Minister Singh, "now we have given the names accordingly." The opposition is planning to disturb again.' He said that since this is not an investigation committee but a working group, there should not be too much fuss. There is a legal provision to pass the budget by the end of June. The government is preparing to pass the budget in the next meeting, even if the opposition is not supported.
