Parsa police have arrested three people along with an undisclosed amount of Rs.
Those arrested are 26-year-old Anil Kumar Barnwal of Pakhamainpur Rural Municipality-2 of Parsa district, 23-year-old Binit Kumar Srivastava of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality-3 Adarsh Tol and 44-year-old Deepak Kumar Sonar of Parwanipur Rural Municipality-4 of Bara.
The team deployed by Parsa police arrested them with cash from different places on Tuesday. Barnwal was arrested from Birganj-10 Makalu Chowk with Rs 947,000 in cash. He was arrested while carrying the money hidden in a bag.
Srivastava was arrested from Link Road located in Birgunj-8 with Rs.15 lakh 81 thousand. Sonar was arrested from Birganj-16 Rajat Jayanti Chowk. According to the Parsa Police, Rs 3 lakh cash was recovered from the pocket of Sonar, who was riding a motorcycle numbered Na 16 P 2328.
Parsa police spokesman DSP Kishore Lamsal has informed that the three people were detained with the hundi money and are being investigated by the Parsa district court for 5 days for the offense of 'doing no hundi-related business' in accordance with section 125 (a) of the Civil Crimes Code, 2074.
