Out of the 17 local levels of Siraha, 16 local levels have announced the estimated budget with income and expenditure for the next financial year 2082/83 through village-municipal assemblies.
According to the provisions mentioned in the Inter-Governmental Finance Management Act, 2074, the Municipal Assembly must be held by June 10 every year. However, out of a total of 17 local levels including 8 municipalities and 9 rural municipalities in the district, Sirha Municipality has not been able to publicize its budget.
Siraha Municipality, which is also the headquarters, has not yet announced its policies and programs. Chief administrative officer Idrish Rain informed that the budget could not be submitted due to the busyness of city chief Naveen Kumar Yadav.
