In Parsa, the father of a 13-year-old minor girl was arrested by the police on the charge of selling her to an Indian man for 480,000 rupees and marrying her into a child, mismatched and inter-caste marriage.

It is alleged that Pooja (name changed), a resident of Pokhria municipality, was married to an Indian citizen by her father Bharat (name changed). It is claimed that Vidur, a 50-year-old man from Sugauli, Bihar, India, has given money to the minor's father for her second marriage.

After the girl's grandfather himself lodged a complaint with the district police office Pokhria and the district police office with such a claim, the police arrested Bharat for investigation.

It has been claimed that there is also an accusation against a married Indian man of murdering his elder wife. The district police office has arrested the 34-year-old father of the minor and started the investigation.
