The 24th hearing of the suspended MP Abhiram Sharma has been kept in abeyance. On Thursday, the appearance was scheduled in the 2nd bench of the High Court. However, the joint bench of Justices Mahendranath Upadhyay and Khemraj Bhatt held that it should not be viewed.

He was found guilty by the District Court Mahottari along with seven others in the murder case of Armed Police Assistant Inspector (Asai) Thaman Vick.

In the same case, the Mahottari District Court on 28th Mansari 2080, Judge Uddhav Prasad Bhattarai's bench acquitted CPN-UML federal MP Lakshmi Mahato Koiri, but sentenced seven people including Abhiram Sharma to life imprisonment.

The case filed by the High Court in Janakpur expressing dissatisfaction with the decision has been going on in the High Court since 1st Baisakh. During the second term of Sharma's state parliament, the district court in Mahottari gave a verdict of life imprisonment. After that, the state assembly suspended him on 18th Baisakh. Suspended MP Sharma, former Jaleshwar Municipality Mayor Ramshankar Mishra, Suresh Pandey and Dhamendra Rai are the defendants.

Asai Vic was killed by an ambulance in Mahottari on August 25, 2072 during the second Madhes movement.
