The Madhesh state government has misused government funds to build political party buildings. Saroj Kumar Yadav, who was elected from UML and became the Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development of the Madhesh government, has allocated funds for the construction of the party office building.
After the work of the party office, which started with the name Mithila Bhavan, was stopped midway, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure allocated Rs 50 lakh. After the budget, UML party office construction work has progressed on Adalat Road located in Janakpur sub-metropolitan city-4 of Dhanusha. Engineer Jyoti Sah of Infrastructure Development Office Dhanusha informed that the work of 'interlock block', 'boundary wall' and the roof slope of the unfinished building is now underway . In the Red Book of the financial year 2081/082, only 45 lakhs amount is mentioned under the title of unfinished building of Mithila building. However, Engineer Sah said that five lakhs were added later. He says that this work is being done through the consumer committee.
Now Pranay Yadav is working on sub contract. He said that he would not give any response on this matter and that the necessary details should be obtained from the ministry. Tried to get a response from Minister Yadav and his secretariat on this matter but could not be contacted .
40 lakhs for the Congress party building
This is not the first case of misappropriation of government funds in the construction of the party office in Madhesh province. Earlier, Ram Saroj Yadav, who was elected from the Congress in the fiscal year 2079/80 and became the Minister of Physical Infrastructure, also allocated the budget for building construction in the Congress office. He started the work by allocating Rs.
Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi and Minister Yadav jointly laid the foundation stone of the building. Congress Dhanush Deputy Chairman Ganesh Jha said that after Krishna Yadav, who is also the leader of the Congress parliamentary party, became the Physical Infrastructure Development Minister, another amount of 2 million was allocated. The work of the foundation is done. Wall and roof work is yet to be done,' he said, 'There is a plan to build the building by Charat.' Stating that the budget has not come to complete the work, he said that efforts are being made to allocate money in the next financial year as well.
Political analyst Roshan Janakpuri says that spending government money on the construction of party offices of political parties is a wrong practice. He stated that investing in the party office when there is a shortage of hospitals is an abuse of power and said, "This is an abuse of the citizens' revenue." Citizens are getting frustrated with such activities. There is resentment towards the leader.
Yogendra Panjiar, president of Dhanusha Congress, argued that it cannot be said that it is wrong because the same thing is happening everywhere. "It is better not to invest the government's money in the construction of party buildings," he said, "but what to do, the same is happening everywhere." So not too wrong . In the end, the people take the service from there too.'
