In Madhesh State Assembly, CPN-UML MP Dipendra Thakur has been informed about suspension. On Wednesday, Speaker Ramchandra Mandal read the letter regarding the suspension sent by the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission in the state assembly meeting.

On Tuesday, the authority filed a case against 17 people including Thakur in a special court on charges of embezzlement during the construction of a 15-bed hospital in Aurhi village of Dhanusha.
