A person who defrauded money by saying that he will be released from the custody of Siraha police has been arrested. Police arrested Pramod Kumar Yadav of Bishnupur rural municipality-1, Gauripur in Siraha on Monday.

According to the police, Vivek Yadav of Siraha Municipality-16, Madar took money saying that he would be released while he was in custody in the case of vehicular manslaughter and settle the case. Vivek's mother Ranidevi Yadav has mentioned in her complaint that he took Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand from her on 27 June 2081.

Pramod was arrested on the basis of the complaint of the victim and a detailed investigation is being conducted with a 4-day deadline from the Sirha District Court, the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sirha DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan informed.
