Chairman of Janmat Party and Member of the House of Representatives CK Raut has demanded for the repair and reconstruction of the service road of the Koshi Western Canal in Saptari. The service road of the canal has not been repaired for years.

Due to the non-construction of the road that carries more than five thousand citizens daily, the locals are suffering. According to the Koshi Agreement, the Koshi Western Canal Service Road is to be repaired and reconstructed by the Koshi Scheme of the Government of India.
