After laying the foundation stone for the fourth time and extending the deadline 6 times, the bus park was finally built
After 85 years, the bus park has come into operation in Rajviraj of Saptari, which was settled after town planning. After laying the foundation stone for the fourth time and extending the deadline 6 times, the much-awaited construction of the bus park has been completed. This bus park has been brought into operation after the Acting Mayor Israt Parveen inaugurated the Raj Viraj Bus Park constructed at Raj Devi Chowk in Raj Viraj Municipality-2 on Thursday.
In 1997, the need for a bus park was realized after Rajviraj city was settled. Although the foundation stone was laid under different names, the construction of the bus park was stalled.
As the bus park could not be operational, now buses are parked on the main road of Rajviraj and buses are operated from there. As buses operate from the main road and intersection, the traffic management has become unorganized and the appearance of the city has also been made ugly . Jayanarayan Mandal, spokesperson and ward president of Rajviraj Municipality, said that after the completion of the construction of the bus park, the traffic management of the city will be eased and the beauty of the city will also increase.
Last time, according to the tender made by Rajviraj for the construction of an organized bus park in Rajviraj-2, an agreement was reached on 19th of January 2074. According to Surendra Kumar Sah, Head of Project Rajviraj Office, Synergy Builders Pvt. Kuleshwar Kathmandu took the contract for 16 crore 38 lakh 96 thousand 519 rupees excluding VAT and there was an agreement that the construction work should be completed by 18th December 2077 . After the variation, the construction of the bus park has been completed at 156 million.
Rajviraj Bus Park, which has been laid foundation upon foundation, has always been in the midst of election issues, commitments and assurances. In 2044, the then Prime Minister Marichman Singh laid the foundation stone for the construction of Birendra Harit Udyan on the land after the demarcated land of the zamindar came under the government name.
When the green park could not be built, after the re-establishment of democracy, in 2052, with the initiative of the then city chief, Shailesh Chaudhary, work was started to build a bus park at that place. But even then the construction work could not proceed. For the purpose of constructing a bus park, an agreement was reached for the fourth time on January 19, 2074, after the foundation stone was laid by the then city chief Shambhu Prasad Yadav and the then secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Dipendranath Sharma, on March 26, 2074, the construction of the bus park proceeded with the budget support of the Ministry of Urban Development.
There are 3 blocks in Rajviraj Bus Park built on an area of 5 bigha 6 katha 4 dhur. In which the inquiry room, main entrance, ticket counter, waiting room, toilet, shop restaurant, mini market, guard house, service center and other structures have been built.
