A corruption case has been filed against 13 people including Vishwamohan Prasad Yadav, the former chairman of Siraha's Navrajpur Rural Municipality.
The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission filed a corruption case against them in a special court on Tuesday. Along with the former president Yadav, the authority has also made former vice president Shobha Kumari, the then chief administrative officer Amarendra Kusiait, engineer Krishna Sah, sub-engineer Jayanarayan Yadav, accountant Somprasad Acharya as defendants.
Similarly, the then presidents of Navrajpur 4 and 5 Madan Yadav, Manoj Kumar Yadav, the then head of the planning branch Ramesh Kumar Nidhi, the head of the Jinsi Sanjay Prasad Yadav, the president of the consumer committee Ramchandra Yadav, the secretary Dipendra Kumar Yadav and the treasurer Kosheela Devi Yadav have also been made defendants.
They have broken the process and rules in the administrative building construction work of the rural municipality, from DPR formulation to the payment of the building construction, and the quality has been questioned, according to the authority.
According to the authority, the building with a cost of 37 lakh 75 thousand 436 rupees was made through the consumer committee on June 32, 2077, and 34 lakh 39 thousand 189 rupees were paid to the consumer committee with wrong technical assessment and the building was rendered unusable.
