A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a tipper at Bagmati in Sarlahi on the East-West highway.
21-year-old Mohammad Kaif Mikrani of Malangwa Municipality-10 died when a tipper No. 7 B 6391, which was going to Hariwan after loading sand from Bagmati Municipality-1, hit a motorcycle No. Ba66 P 8460, which was going from the opposite direction.
After general treatment at Model Hospital Hariwan, Mikrani was taken to LS Neuro Hospital Birganj for further treatment and the doctor declared him dead, police said.
24-year-old Sumit Kumar Yadav of Malangwa Municipality-10 who was riding behind the motorcycle was seriously injured in the accident. He is being treated at LS Neuro Hospital.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai has informed that the tipper that hit the motorcycle and its driver have been arrested.
