The security guard's room of Nepal Bank Limited located in Khadak Municipality-7 Kalyanpur of Saptari was stolen on Thursday night. The theft took place in the room of 39-year-old Pramod Chaudhary of Shambhunath Municipality-7 Bhagaha and 44-year-old Parshuram Chaudhary of Ward No.-5 of the same place.

SP Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that while both of them were sleeping in the room, a 12-bore single-action weapon, 20 rounds of ammunition, two mobile phones, and digital scales were stolen from the drawer. According to him, the investigation was started when information about the incident of theft was received at Kalyanpur area police office at 3:30 in the morning.  During the

investigation, SP Khatiwada said that a young man was arrested with stolen goods from Siraha's Lahan Municipality-3 Hospital Chowk around 4:00 am. "As soon as we received the information about the theft, we informed all the units of Saptari as well as Siraha. Upon suspicion, the stolen goods were recovered from 20-year-old Apsad Ansari of Khadak Municipality-6 Wisanpur of the district." The phone, SIM card, speaker and digital scales were recovered one by one. SP Khatiwada said that the arrested Ansari had also recovered a 12-bore single-caliber weapon hidden in a bush 500 meters west of the bank in Kalyanpur. Ansari has been brought to the local police office Kalyanpur and further investigation is underway.
