Two children have died in Dhanusha after drowning in the water of the ditch dug for road construction. According to District Police Office Dhanusha, both the children who died by drowning belong to the same family.
7-year-old Rithik Sah and 5-year-old Ritish Sah of North East Kamala Municipality-2 Sarabe of Dhanusha drowned on Tuesday, Dhanusha police said. Hrithik is the son of Rambabu Sah and Ritish is the son of Shyambabu Sah. Rambabu and Shyambabu are brothers.
The water was frozen in the pit created by the soil that was spread for agricultural roads. Ritish and Ritish, who came out of the house to play, drowned in that hole. The pit, which was dug only 15 days ago, was inundated with continuous rain. After they did not return home until late, they were found drowned in a ditch during a search.
The number of children drowning in Madhesh is high during summer and rainy season. In the two months of fiscal year 081/082, 39 children and 10 men and women drowned in 8 districts of Madhesh province alone. 185 people drowned in Madhesh province in 080/081.
According to the Madhesh Pradesh Police Office, 124 children have died in it. During that period, 47 men and 14 women drowned. 155 people drowned in Madhesh in 079/080. Out of which 48 are boys, 33 are girls, 62 are men and 12 are women.
