It has been found that CPN-UML has become a candidate for the office of a community school teacher in the 8th session of Dhanusha District Committee. UML central secretary Raghubir Mahaseth's panel has nominated Dipnarayan Thakur, a government teacher, for the post of district committee secretary.

Thakur is a teacher working in Lower Secondary School Lalia located in Mithila Bihari Municipality-5. He has been working as a relief teacher since June 25, 2066, according to District Education Coordination Unit Dhanusha. A complaint was also filed with the Election Committee regarding his candidacy.

However, the election committee has published the list of candidates supporting his candidacy. Because of this dispute, half a dozen leaders were injured and the election was also postponed.

The postponed election is scheduled to be held on May 7 (Wednesday). UML district president Rajkishore Yadav said that the election committee itself has created an atmosphere of confusion regarding the controversy. However, he believes that the Central Committee will decide and send it according to the law. Friends do not understand many things. The final list of candidates was published twice," he said. "On the seat that was elected unopposed in one list, when another list came up, there were candidates in that too."

He said that since the final list of candidates was announced at 4 am, they were not given time to protest their claims against some unqualified candidates. Umashankar Aragaria, central member and in-charge of the Middle East, Umashankar Aragaria, said that the high committee of the party had discussed and resolved each point of dispute. However, he said that it is left up to the election committee to protest the claims. He said that the candidacy of government teachers is against the law and the code of conduct of elections.

'If there is a government teacher, he will automatically go to work after submitting his candidacy,' he said, 'If there were other elections, the resignation should have been accepted first. However, even if it is not in this, morally or maybe the education office will relieve the teacher from his post.

Thakur admitted that he was a relief teacher. However, he insists that he became a candidate in the election of the original party according to the law. "Party elections are not held according to the Education Act and the list, but according to the party's constitution," he said.

Chetkumar Pokharel, head of District Education Coordinating Unit, Dhanusha, said that the law has made teachers party-friendly. He claims that all parties have the same problem. He said that there is no clear provision in the laws and regulations regarding whether or not a teacher can contest elections or be an official in the original party.

'It has not been clarified in the current law,' he said, 'Now that matter has been put in the law that is going to be amended.' Two groups have registered their candidacy in the Dhanusha session of the UML. Mahaseth group and Umashankar Aragaria group have nominated their candidates for all posts. 650 representatives will vote for the selection of 135 member district committee.
