There has been a problem in the operation of Dakneshwari Municipality of Saptari. In the second half of the financial year, the chief administrative officer Ramkisun Yadav, along with engineers, accounting officers, and officials of the planning division, filed a charge sheet against seven people in the special court by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, and they were automatically suspended from last Wednesday.
After the chief administrative officer, technical and accounting and planning staff were suspended at once, there was a problem in the operation of the municipality.
On Wednesday, the authority filed a charge sheet in the special court against seven employees and one firm and its director, including chief administrative officer Yadav, for corruption in the installation of LED street lights.
Officer Yadav along with Engineers Kulanand Viraji and Ramakant Chaudhary, Sub-Engineer Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Planning Officer Vinod Kumar Thakur, Accountant Anita Parivar, Assistant Fifth Nikita Chaudhary working in the Planning Branch, GS Construction Services and its Proprietor Vijay Kumar Yadav have also filed a charge sheet.
It is the authority's claim that the budget was allocated in the financial year 2078/079 and the contract was given for the connection work.
After the suspension of the employees of the main branch including the Chief Administrative Officer, now the Administrative Officer Ramesh Sah has been made the Acting Chief Administrative Officer. He only has the authority to run the office on a day-to-day basis.
