National Innovation Center Birganj Agricultural Tools Factory has invented Fish Incubator and Oxygen Aeration Mixing Tower for the first time in Nepal.

The fish incubator produces sawdust from the eggs and the oxygen aeration mixing tower works to mix water and air. Ritesh Dev, chief engineer of Virganj Center, claimed that this machine was invented for the first time in Nepal.

'These machines were not invented in Nepal yet. It is not even possible to buy here," he said, "Fish culture farmers have to directly import from India or China." He said that fish culture farmers can benefit when these machines are produced in the country.  Engineer Dev said that the 2 machines invented by the

center were handed over to a farmer in Bara Dodarpa by the Lutheran World Relief Nepal organization about 2 weeks ago under its fisheries project program. "Lutheran has given the center an order of 16/16 for the production of 32 of these machines," he said, "If other fish farmers want to buy, the center will produce and sell them." He said that the price of aeration mixing tower is Rs 40,000. Lutheran  Under its project, it has established an office in Simara, Bara, and is trying to acquaint fish farmers with new technologies in Nepal and establish them. 

Engineer Dev claims that the cost of importing these equipment from India or third countries will be higher, the tax will be higher and the transportation cost will also be incurred, so the domestically produced equipment will be cheaper for the farmers and the transportation will also be easier. The center has produced these tools using stainless steel, iron, pipes etc.
