Land encroachment and littering in Navrajpur Rural Municipality fined up to 5 lakhs

Navrajpur rural municipality of Siraha has made its own financial bill and implemented it. In the bill, the rural municipality has provided for financial action from littering to trespassing on public land.

The rural municipality has implemented the Economic Bill, 2081 from Wednesday and has announced that action will be taken against those who encroach on public land, throw garbage randomly, leave livestock loose, damage public property and other acts against the law. Sachin Rural Municipality has requested that these actions are done within seven days.

According to the rural municipality, it has been arranged to pay 500 to 2500 in case of haphazard littering in public places and roads, equivalent compensation in case of damage caused by stray animals and quadrupeds. Similarly, in case of trespassing on public land, a fine of Rs 10,000 will be imposed for the first time and Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 for the second time.

However, this will not apply to landless people who have been living on public land for a long time. Similarly, the municipality said that if the public pool is encroached upon and the public property is damaged, a fine of 50,000 to 500,000 will be imposed. 

The rural municipality has also arranged that registration of personal incidents will be free of charge within 35 days and those who register after the deadline will be fined 50 rupees. Village Chairman Shiv Udgar Yadav said that after the implementation of this bill, the problem of public land and road encroachment will be solved to an extent.
