The armed police have arrested three Indian citizens with undisclosed amount of cash from the Nepal-India border at Birganj.

9 lakh 59 thousand Nepali rupees were seized when the BR 22 P 8300 vehicle coming to Nepal on the way to Birgunj on the Tribhuvan Rajpath road section towards Nepal was stopped and checked 50 meters before the Birganj customs office check point.

Among the arrested Indian nationals are 59-year-old Vijay Prasad of Bihar West Champaran Betiya Gram Panchayat Ward No. 7, 46-year-old Manoj Kumar Sahni of Bihar West Champaran Jaukatiya Gram Panchayat Ward No. 12 and 43-year-old Santosh Kumar Srivastava of Bihar West Champaran Cantonment Chowk Gram Panchayat Ward No. 27.  DSP Devendra Bahadur Singh informed that the recovered cash and all the occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for necessary action.
