A young man was shot in Siraha. In Dangraha Toll located in Lahan Municipality-3, a local Dev Kumar Mahato, 27 years old, was hit by a machete during a dispute over the reason for the motorcycle touching him.
According to the police, this incident happened last Wednesday. The motorcycle driven by 21-year-old Manish Mahato, son of local Jivach Mahato, touched Devkumar, son of local Nathuni Mahato. After that, there was a dispute.
In a video released on social media, a group is seen beating Devkumar and one person is hitting him with a machete. According to the police, those who beat up Devkumar in the said video are family members of Jivacha.
Three people involved in this incident are now in police custody. DSP Kailash Rai of the area police office Lahan said that his 60-year-old wife Sita Devi Mahato and son Manish were arrested along with their lives on the basis of the complaint from the victim.
However, 19-year-old Mukesh Mahato, the son of Jivach, who shot Khukuri, is still absconding. DSP Rai said that the search for him is going on. On the other hand, Devkumar, who was injured due to beating and stabbing, is being treated at the Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar.
According to the police, his head, neck and back were injured in various parts of his body. The police said that his health condition is out of danger.
