The local administration has banned the playing of instruments after 10 pm in Birganj. This decision was taken at the meeting of stakeholders held at the district administration office on Wednesday. Lately, there have been widespread complaints about this from the locals.
At present, the marriage season is going on and the party palaces are disturbing the locals by playing DJs and loud music till midnight during such ceremonies.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryalaya chaired a meeting in which Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra and party palace administrators in the district took this decision. The meeting has decided to gradually discourage the use of DJ equipment in weddings, fasts and religious/cultural events as it will affect the health and daily life of the general public. The
meeting has also decided to completely ban the use of fireworks and crackers in such cultural events. It has also decided to bring those who act against this decision under the law. The meeting also decided to strictly regulate the entry of firecrackers, DJs and other devices from the border area.
During the booking confirmation of weddings, vows and religious/cultural events after Wednesday, the use of DJ Patka is completely banned with the respective hotels/party palaces. The meeting also decided to make bookings only by signing. The
meeting has also decided not to block the movement of the public by keeping unnecessary vehicles in front of hotels and party palaces that conduct cultural activities including wedding vows. The meeting also decided that such vehicles will be managed by the respective hotels and party palaces and that traffic checks will be strictly enforced to implement it more effectively.
The meeting also decided to regularly submit the revenue/dues to the Nepalese government by the businessmen of this area and bring it under the scope of action by closely monitoring it.
