In Saptari's Rajviraj Municipality-1 Chanaura, a mother fed poison to her son and consumed the poison herself. A four-year-old son died after consuming poison, while his mother became seriously ill.

During a domestic dispute, 25-year-old Kajal Devi Safi poisoned her son Saurabh Kumar Safi on Sunday evening. Saurabh was brought to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital Rajviraj for treatment after being poisoned. When BP was sent to Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for further treatment, treatment was not possible there either. From there he was referred to Nobel Hospital Biratnagar. 

Police Superintendent Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that he died during treatment on Monday morning. He said that Kajal, who had consumed poison, is being treated at Nobel Hospital and her condition is also serious. The police said that further investigation is being done on the incident.
