A month has passed since the arrest warrant was issued against 12 people, namely Sachin, Ward Chairman of Sirha Municipality-13, for criminal nuisance, arson and robbery. But the police did not arrest him.
According to the order of the High Court, Rajviraj, a case was registered against them at the District Police Office, Siraha on Chait 13 for the offenses related to criminal nuisance, arson and robbery. However, even though it has been almost a month since the case was registered, the police have not arrested them.
The court had issued an arrest warrant against Ward President Sahashit Dukhi Mahato, Panchalal Mahato, Sogarath Mahato, Aman Mahato, Ramdinesh Yadav, Satish Yadav, Jivchha Mahato, Sovit Mahato, Khushilal Mahato, Pandab Mahato, Prakash Mahato.
Siraha Police Chief Superintendent of Police Anantaram Sharma said that the incident is being investigated and action will be taken as per the need. "This case was registered before I came, the police is doing the work that needs to be done, the investigation is going on," Sharma told Kantipur, "we will take action as per the need." He filed a writ petition in the High Court Rajviraj saying that it had been delivered.
Before that, immediately after the incident, he went to register a complaint at the District Police Office, Siraha. However, after repeated pleas, the police did not file a complaint, he went to the Supreme Court on June 21, 2081 with a writ petition for injunction. Even before this dispute, when he tried to put up a fence on his private land, the Ward Chairman Shah obstructed him with bias and then even after bringing an order from the court, Bhandari narrates that he attacked his family with a hoe, set fire to his house and looted it.
However, Bhandari complains that nothing has happened to them due to political protection and even though arrest warrants have been issued, the police are reluctant to arrest them.
'They have the protection of a big leader, that's why the police has been reluctant,' he asked, 'We are ordinary people, who should we turn to for justice?'
Even though an arrest warrant has been issued against him, Ward President Shah, MP and UML leader Lilanath Shrestha, who is also the former law minister, has appeared with him in public events in the district. Even though he is not superior, he is openly But the police are not interested in arresting him.
According to police sources, MP Shrestha and Mayor Naveen Kumar Yadav of Siraha have been pressuring them not to arrest those for whom arrest warrants have been issued in this case, including the ward president. "The parliamentarians and the mayor have been saying that it is not good to arrest them," said a police officer, "Instead of helping them in legal matters, it will be difficult if they threaten that it will not be good to arrest them." "Some cases are actionable and some are not. It is not my fault that some people appear with me in an event," he said, "I don't have time to talk about such matters." Ward president Saha could not be contacted when he tried to get a response.
