Khushi Lal Sah Kirte, former ward president of Navrajpur rural municipality-2 of Siraha, has been arrested in a fraud case.
District Police Office Sirha informed that Sah was arrested while hiding in his house on Monday morning. It is alleged that he took the signature of the current ward president and the seal of the ward office.
According to the police, on 19th January 2080, a complaint was filed saying that he made a recommendation for char fort by buying the fake signature of Ward President Suresh Kumar Yadav and the seal of the ward office. Siraha Police Spokesperson Birendra Kumar Paswan said that further investigation is being conducted on him after receiving a deadline from the court.
Sah was elected as the ward president of Navrajpur Village-2 from the Nepali Congress in the local elections of 2074. In the last election of 2079, he contested for the chairmanship of Navarajpur Rural Municipality from UML and was defeated.
