A Dalit girl from Haripur Ramtol, Surunga Municipality-7 of Saptari, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances, was reported dead on Wednesday. Rambatidevi Ram, the mother of the deceased 20-year-old Pooja Kumari Ram, has filed a case of murder at the local police office in Kadarbona.
Nagendra Ram's daughter Pooja Kumari was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday. Saptari Superintendent of Police Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that the complaint filed by Rambatidevi, the mother of the deceased, has been registered and the investigation is underway. Superintendent of Police Khatiwada said that after the
incident, a detailed investigation was started with the help of a trained dog brought from the state police office, Janakpur. "Preliminary investigations suspect that the girl may have been murdered," he said, "The body has been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for post-mortem on Tuesday afternoon."
According to him, more will be revealed after the post-mortem report. Pooja Kumari, who went missing from her home on Monday night, was found dead at Tingachhia, about one kilometer south-east from her home.
Pooja was sleeping at home with her brother Vishwajeet after Pooja's mother Rambatidevi went to participate in Ashtayam. Meanwhile, Pooja disappeared.
