A demonstration was held in Birganj on Tuesday evening in violation of the prohibition order issued by the District Administration Office to prevent gatherings, demonstrations, etc. After the police baton-charged those who tried to sit in front of the district police office, those who dispersed from there, set fire to tires in the Ghantaghar, Adarshnagar Chowk area of ​​Birganj.

From around 6:30 to 7:30 in the evening, there was a scuffle between the protestors and the Nepalese and Armed Police in the area around the District Police Office. 

After the police arrested 4 people on Tuesday for their involvement in Saturday's incident, a group of youths went to the district police office to protest the police action. When they started sitting on the dharna, the police charged the arrested with sticks. 

Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra said that 4 people found guilty in the incident were arrested according to the five-point agreement reached in the all-party all-party meeting. He said that 4 persons namely Sesha Khursed, Saladin Mia Thakurai, Budget Singh and Ravi Sarraf have been arrested and action has been taken. 

"We have started arresting those directly involved in the incident from CCTV footage and other sufficient evidence and bringing them under the scope of action," he said. Local journalists Anil Ojha of Birgunj TV and Arjun Gupta of Avenues Television were injured during the lathi charge in front of the District Police Office. They are being treated at Narayani Hospital.
