Janak Shiksha Material Center Regional Office Janakpurdham has sold about 587 thousand books worth 80 million before the start of this year's academic session.
Head of Office Rudramani Khanal informed that the sale has started as the textbooks have arrived before the start of the academic session. For the academic year 2082, the target of the center was to sell and distribute 23 lakh 70 thousand books worth 25 crores. Currently, 9 lakh 13 thousand 976 books are safe in the warehouse, according to the office. Chief Khanal informed that textbook sales are being distributed through 96 different distributors assigned to
schools. From the office in the districts including Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Saptari, Udaipur, Sindhuli, Sirha, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Parsa and Bara. It has been selling and distributing textbooks.
In the past, there was a problem in the study and teaching of children due to delays in book printing. Previously Last year, that office sold books worth 233 million. Before that, the office had sold books worth 26 million in the academic session 2080.
The federal government has a policy of providing compulsory education at the primary level and free education at the secondary level. The school buys textbooks from designated vendors and the respective local levels have been paying for them.
